He signs upon the front paste-down: ''Cordially, Calvin Coolidge''. The 30th President took office when then-President Warren G. Harding passed away. His moving account of his father informing him of the succession is revealed in this account of the Presidency, which he describes as, ''...the greatest experience that can come to mortal man...'' Runs 247pp. Bound in forest green cloth boards with gilt lettering. Erasures to front free endpaper, notations to rear integral blanks, fabric loss to board corners and wear to backstrip. Very good.
