Hugh Brannum's Mr. Green Jeans costume from ''Captain Kangaroo'', likely screen-worn. Costume is a pair of green denim overalls, which Brannum would have worn with a plaid shirt and straw hat as part of the iconic ensemble that earned him his sobriquet. Overalls have had several of their brass tone metal buttons replaced with green buttons. Original Lee brand metal buttons remain for the button fly and on the upper left breast. Measures 19.5'' across the waist and through the hip, with 30.5'' inseam. Staining from use, especially to lower right leg and some fading to fabric. Acquired at the estate sale of Hugh Brannum's widow on 28 June 2014 in Saylorsburg, PA.
