Charles Stratton, aka "Tom Thumb", personal wooden walking stick. Tom Thumb achieved international celebrity as a little person touring with P.T. Barnum's traveling circus. Wooden walking stick measures 9.5" in length with a silver colored ferrule. Stick was presented by Stratton's mother to a Fanny Moore, whose grandson appeared on an episode of BBC's "Flog It!" filmed in Exeter. During the program a curator of The Barnum Museum in Bridgeport, Connecticut was consulted over the authenticity of the walking stick. A DVD of the episode is included in the lot. Overall, near fine.
