Rare program from the Brooklyn Bridge opening ceremony, held 24 May 1883. The grand suspension bridge stretches across the East River to connect Manhattan and Brooklyn. Program lists the events of the ceremony, including an appearance by the President. The trustees, commissioners and engineers on the project are credited within. Runs 4pp., printed by Eagle Print. Measures 5.75'' x 8.5''. Light toning and staining, and program is detached and separated at the spine. Good.
