Rene Gagnon WWII autograph letter signed while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He writes a postcard to his girlfriend Pauline Harnois, dated 9 January 1944. While guarding the Naval Prison Camp in Charleston, South Carolina, he writes in full, ''Hi Honey, Sorry I couldn't write for a couple of days But I'll write a letter tomorrow. Wish you were down here with me; don't you? Love as ever, Rene''. He also writes his name and return address at the top edge. Card measures 5.5'' x 3.5''. Mild toning and edge wear, else near fine.
