Edith Roosevelt 1927 Christmas Card, dated 1927 with no signature but with a handwritten note. Original envelope postmarked 23 December included is however signed at top, ''Edith Roosevelt'' and is addressed in her hand to Charles Scribner's Sons editor Will David Howe. Christmas card depicts a festive winter scene and printed script reads, ''Best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year'' with a note in the former First Lady's hand, ''from / Sagamore Hill to all the Howes / 1927''. Both card and envelope measure 5'' x 4'' with minor toning, else very good condition.
