Stunning WWI artifact, an engraved British Boxing trophy from the personal collection of Malcolm S. Forbes. Presented in France in 1919 by the British Expeditionary Force to the First Battalion Royal Fusiliers as winners of the 17th Infantry Brigade Boxing Competition held at Baisieux, France. Polished and engraved with an inscription commemorating the win, trophy is also engraved with the date 18 January 1919, eleven months before the Armistice that ended World War I. Measures 9.5'' tall. Fine.
