Maurice Sendak autograph letter signed, dated 1 May 1967. The author of the 1963 children's classic ''Where the Wild Things Are'' sends a postcard from London to his friend Herbert Hosmer. It reads in part, ''...So far, everything has been too exciting -- it seems my 'Wild Things' has caused quite a sensation and I am busy from morning to night. I'm beat -- but it's great fun...today I visited Windsor and Hampton Court -- superb. Regards from petit soldat! Maurice''. Minor creasing to 5.75'' x 4'' postcard, else near fine.
