James Jones' acclaimed novel ''From Here to Eternity'', first edition signed. Published by Charles Scribner's Sons: New York: 1951. Jones signs in blue ink upon the limitation page, which indicates this is number 1105 in a limed edition. Publisher's ''A'' also appears on the copyright page. Jones' tale of a crew of soldiers stationed in Hawaii at the time of Pearl Harbor was adapted into the Best Picture of the same name in 1953. Runs 861pp. and measures 6'' x 8.5''. Bound in charcoal cloth boards with original dustjacket. Toning to edges and minor foxing to front pastedown at hinge. Near fine overall. Dustjacket is unclipped. Surface loss and separation to its edges and hinges, else very good.
