Neil Armstrong typed letter signed on Cardwell Intl. stationery, an oil-drilling corporation in Ohio where Armstrong served as Chairman many years after landing on the moon. Dated 10 March 1980, letter is addressed to George Pantages, expressing his regrets for having to decline an upcoming speaking engagement. In part, ''...I very much appreciate your kind invitation to speak at the Case Centennial Reunion Banquet, I must however decline. The responsibilities of my new business will not permit my accepting any additional speaking engagements at this time...'' Signed in blue ink, ''Neil Armstrong''. 1pp. letter is in near fine condition.
