Rare first edition, second printing of Edward Ruscha's self-published photographic book ''Every Building on the Sunset Strip'': Los Angeles: 1966. This unique work features continuous photography of a two-and-a-half mile stretch of Sunset Boulevard, the same area that was the site of the Sunset Strip curfew riots in the summer of 1966. Book employs an accordion-style binding, with both sides of the street shown. Exact corresponding street numbers and names of cross streets accompany the images. A historical and artistically influential work. Softcover book without slipcase measures 5.75'' x 7.25''. Light soiling, creasing to the spine and $1.00 pencil notation to title page, else near fine.
