Medal is cast with the iconic Emmy figure, circumscribed with the name of the Academy and dedication, ''For / Distinguished Service''. Plain reverse side is engraved, ''Peter A. Kizer / Ex-Officio President / 1976-1980''. Solid medal made of an unmarked metal, likely brass or gold tone bronze, measures 3'' in diameter. Weighs 6 ounces or 172 grams. Scattered minor abrasions to rim, else near fine. Housed in original walnut hinged case.
