Emmy Award for ''Outstanding Writing For a Daytime Drama Series'' for the 1977-1978 season. Trophy was awarded to Judith Pinsker, writer on ABC's show Ryan's Hope. Pinsker went on to write for General Hospital. The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences' iconic statue of a winged woman on tiptoe, holding an atom, is intended to symbolize television's convergence of science and art. Statue is made of gold-plated metal on a metal base. The front of the base is engraved with the name of the award and its category and recipient. With Dodge, Inc. Trophies label on the base. Measures 14.5'' in total height, with a 7.5'' diameter base. Weighs 7 lbs., 6 ounces. Tarnishing, crazing to figure, loosening to figure on base, two dents to the bottom edge of the base and some warping to atom. Very good overall.
