Original document announcing the Cuban trade embargo issued by the Office of the White House Press Secretary, dated 3 February 1962. Here Kennedy decides by Executive Order to widen trade restrictions against the Communist island nation, the first action in a series of escalating events leading to the Cuban Missile Crisis later that year. Release is in near fine condition with light creasing and staple mark. Single page measures 8.5" x 11".
