Harry Truman signed two-volume set of his memoirs, "Years of Decisions" and "Years of Trial and Hope". Doubleday: Garden City, NY: 1955 & 1956. Volume One is signed and inscribed on the fly-leaf in black ink, "To Robert M. Bacon / Kind regards from / Harry S. Truman / 6-15-66". Volume Two is again signed and inscribed on fly-leaf, "Best wishes to / Robert M. Bacon / from / Harry Truman / 6-15-66". Volume one runs 596pp; volume two runs 594pp. Each measures 5.5" x 8.5". Bound in black cloth boards with blue print and silver gilt lettering. Volume One shows pencil notations to the front free endpaper. Volume Two shows a shallow dent to the front board edge and pencil notation to front free endpaper, else near fine. Dustjackets are in very good condition with just a few minor tears to edges and shelf wear.
