Erwin Rommel Autograph Photograph Postcard Signed ''Erwin.'' One page, 5.5'' x 3.5'', n. p., n. d. The famous Desert Fox, in a tender letter to his wife, writes, in part: ''Dearest Lu [Lucia Maria] . . . Tonight a guest as 'Illustrious Highness' - Hopefully you have fully recovered. How about a hot bath . . . In my thoughts I am . . . happy in the park at our house and in the garden. Most sincere greetings and kisses.'' The silver gelatin photograph on the verso shows the SchloΒ Cecilienhof, the last palace built by the ruling Hohenzollern family and the location of the 1945 Potsdam Conference, taken by Ursula Blau. Silvering in the darkened areas of the photograph, else fine.
