Morris Jeppson signed copy of the atomic bomb blueprint. Diagram of "Little Boy", the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima is signed in blue ink, "Morris Jeppson / Weapons Test Officer / Enola Gay Mission / HIROSHIMA - 6 Aug. 1945". Jeppson was one of only 2 men who were at Los Alamos during the development and testing of the bomb and also on board the Enola Gay. He removed the safety plugs as described on the document, making him the last to touch Little Boy before it was dropped. Diagram includes Jeppson's handwritten notations labeling the "uranium bullet", "uranium target ring", "target U235" and "hook to hang bomb in [Enola Gay's] B29 Bomb Bay", with explanations on how it all worked. Autograph document measures approximately 18" x 24". Near fine.
