Upon her personal monogrammed St. James's Palace stationery, 19 June 1899 letter reads in full: ''Dear Duke, I have just received the enclosed letter from a friend of mine and as it speaks for itself I think I cannot do better than to forward it to you with the request that you will kindly give it your favourable consideration as the case seems a very sad one - Believe me Yours sincerely Victoria Mary''. 2pp. letter on a single sheet of card-style stationery measures 5.25'' x 7''. Creasing and some toning, else near fine.
