Rare Prince George of Wales, later King George V signed copy of the first edition book, ''War Medals of the British Army'' by Thomas Carter and revised by W.H. Long. Published by Norie & Wilson: London: 1893. Inscribed to the King's brother-in-law Prince Francis of Teck: ''For Francis of Teck from George. / York Cottage / Sandingham / Jan: 1894." on the title page in black ink. 656pp. book is bound in red cloth with gilt lettering and features 26 color plates of medals. Some rubbing and cracking to spine and loose pages, else very good.
