Woodrow Wilson typed letter signed as President on official White House stationery, dated 22 January 1918. Addressed to Dr. E. Lester Jones, letter reads in full: ''My Dear Doctor Jones: I am very glad to have your book, 'The Neglected Waters of the Pacific Coast: Washington, Oregon and California,' and shall hope for leisure to examine it with some degree of particularity. Cordially and sincerely yours, Woodrow Wilson''. Signed in black ink. Single page letter on card-style stationery measures 7'' x 8.75''. Two holes punched and minor toning, else very good condition.
