Original John Wayne signed 20th Century Fox contract officiating his lead role in the 1958 film, ''The Barbarian and the Geisha''. The Duke played ''Townsend Harris'' in the film, the first U.S. Consul-General to Japan, where the story takes place. Contract delineates Wayne's commitment to three 20th Century Fox films, commencing with ''The Barbarian and the Geisha''. 2pp. contract is signed ''John Wayne'' in blue ink, and is countersigned by 20th Century Fox executive manager. Some toning and two hole punched at top, else very good condition.
