Carole Lombard typed letter signed on Paramount Pictures stationery. Dated 15 February 1937, letter reads in full, ''Dear Virginia and June Bergen: I certainly want to thank you for your cordial little letter inviting me to your birthday party, and if I could have been in Maplewood on February 13th I would have loved to come. But of course you know how busy we are out here in Hollywood, and while you were having a perfectly beautiful time at the party I was hard at work on our newest picture for Paramount, 'Swing High, Swing Low'. Best wishes, [signed] Carole Lombard''. Single-page letter measures 8.5'' x 11''. Folds and light wear, overall very good.
