Colonel Harland Sanders signed and inscribed black-and-white photo. Sanders started perfecting his ''secret recipe'' for his fried chicken in 1930 in Corbin Kentucky, with a recipe that continues to spurn franchise after franchise worldwide. Here, the Kentucky Fried Chicken founder poses in his trademark look, including a mustache and goatee, black bowtie and white coat. Inscribed in black ink along lower left: ''To Mrs. Blacks 2nd Grade Class / with every good wish -- Sincerely / Col. Harland Sanders / 1/25/72''. Glossy photo measures 8'' x 10'' with very minor toning to border, else fine.
