Jimmy Hoffa signed Teamsters union card, belonging to his close friend and protege, Charles "Chuckie" O'Brien. The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chauffeurs, Warehousemen and Helpers of America, Detroit Local Union No. 299, card is signed, "J.R. Hoffa". "President" is handwritten below his name. O'Brien also signs the card. Hoffa became president of local 299 in 1946 and would become president of the national organization in 1957. He disappeared completely in 1975 under suspicious circumstances. O'Brien was a person of interest in the investigation, but no connection to Hoffa's death was ever proven. Minor wear to 4" x 2.5" card, matted to overall size of 12.25" x 14" with 10" x 8" photo of Hoffa with Martin Luther King, Jr. Accompanied by PSA/DNA COA.
