Orson Welles signs the cover of the 1976 CBS LP, ''Great American Documents.'' The album, consisting of readings of significant historical American documents by Welles, Henry Fonda, Helen Hayes and James Earl Jones, won the ''Best Spoken Word'' Grammy award for 1976. Welles, who reads the text of the ''Declaration of Independence'' and parts of the ''Constitution,'' signs the front cover in black marker, ''Orson Welles''. Tape residue and moderate rubbing to 12'' x 12'' cover, else very good. Originally from the Orson Welles February 1992 estate sale.
