Very scarce handwritten letter by Basil Rathbone referencing Sherlock Holmes. Single page letter dated 23 May 1963 reads in part, ''...Of course I appreciate having played the part of Sherlock Holmes, but it is by no means the most demanding or rewarding part I have every played...Sincerely, Basil Rathbone''. Several folds and a small hole to upper left corner. Both Rathbone's handwriting and signature are very clear and bold. 6.75'' x 10'' letter is in very good plus condition.
