Groucho Marx, the wisecracking leader of the widely popular comedy team The Marx Brothers, signs this letter dated 2 February 1962. Marx writes, ''Mr. Val Hiergesell...you sent me a cigar cutter. Since then I have been the object of prodding, assorted pleas and threats of mayhem from my brother, Gummo, who is also an habitual cigar smoker...[signed] Groucho Marx''. Letter on Groucho Marx stationery measures 7.25'' x 10.5''. Near fine condition. Original envelope and correspondence to Marx also included.
Groucho Marx Typed Letter Signed -- ''...I wonder if I might prevail upon you to order me one of those wonderful cigar cutters...''
