Handwritten and signed Rutherford B. Hayes letter to his friend Edward Bok, dated 27 September 1883. Hayes tries to schedule a time to meet: "I shall attend the meeting of the Trustees of the Peabody Fund Oct 3rd and will be again in New York attending the meetings…But you are all so near the Fifth Avenue Hotel when I habitually stop that we can…easily arrange a meeting…R.B. Hayes". Single page letter on card style stationery measures 5.5" x 8.5". Some creasing and toning, else near fine condition.
Rutherford B. Hayes Autograph Letter Signed -- "I…will be again in New York attending the meetings of the Slater Board and…National Prison Reform Board…"
