Lyndon B. Johnson signed first edition of his memoir ''The Vantage Point: Perspectives on the Presidency 1963-1969''. Holt, Rinehart and Winston: New York, Chicago, San Francisco: 1971. Presidential bookplate signed ''Lyndon B. Johnson'' in black felt tip is affixed to the fly-leaf; bookplate features the presidential seal with LBJ's initials in gilt. Former owner inscribes above the bookplate, ''Given to Hoyt G. Wilson Christmas 1972''. Also includes a small card with ''Mr. and Mrs. Lyndon Baines Johnson'' printed and ''Merry Christmas'' handwritten above in red marker. Book runs 636pp., bound in red cloth boards and housed in an unclipped dustjacket. Measures 6.5'' x 9.5''. Boards and pages are clean and bright; dustjacket has minor wear to top and bottom edges, else near fine condition.
