Interesting archive of the All-American Football Conference team, Los Angeles Dons, who played at the Los Angeles Coliseum from 1946-49. Hollywood luminaries Don Ameche, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Pat O'Brien and Louis B. Mayer shared ownership of the team; Heisman Trophy winner Angelo Bertelli played quarterback after his tour of duty in WWII. Lot includes carbon copies of letters, copies of signed checks, telegrams, correspondence on Los Angeles Dons letterhead, event plans and expense accounting. Most items are dated 1944 and 1945. Overall toning, else very good.
