Ty Cobb autograph letter signed on his personal stationery. In this undated letter, circa 1959, Cobb writes to Marie Quinn on various topics: ''...from some old baseball injury...I have my back pains...I am now 196 to 198 and year I retired 1928 some 31 years ago, I weighed 192...as to your silence...a bear had sneaked in...and dragged you off to a cave...bears find caves to hibernate through the winter and poor Marie would have to spend the winter held in captivity by a bear. So am glad your enemy was only a virus...T.R.C.'' 7.25'' x 10.5''. Near fine.
Ty Cobb 5pp. Autograph Letter Signed -- ''...My invitation still stands...no exactions whatever, only if you evidenced a desire of participation. Strictly all on the up & up...''
