Ayn Rand signed copy of ''Atlas Shrugged.'' Random House: New York: 1957, first edition, 5th printing. In this last novel, Rand defines Objectivism, a philosophy which has heavily influenced the libertarian and conservative movements. Signed in blue ink on the front free endpaper, ''To Dr. and Mrs. J Bruce Henriksen - with sincere admiration - Cordially, Ayn Rand / 2/14/63''. Green cloth boards with gilt AR on cover measure 6'' x 8.75''. Toning to front free endpaper, sunning and bumping to backstrip, and a newspaper clipping glued to pastedown announcing Rand's death. Overall very good.
