Classic cartoon character, Woody Woodpecker, oil on masonite painting signed by his artist and creator, Walter Lantz. Lantz signs in black paint in the lower right, ''Walter Lantz''. Woody Woodpecker is Lantz's most beloved creation and the screwball character is honored with a motion picture star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Features a second Walter Lantz signature on the backing, with stamped ''Rights of Reproduction reserved by Walter Lantz''. Painting measures 20'' x 16'', framed to an overall size of 26.25'' x 22.25''. Fine condition.
