Original World II wire photo dated 6 June 1944 of American soldiers administering first aid to survivors who barely made it to the Normandy shore. According to Army Photographic Agency information sheet stapled to the photo, the landing craft pictured was hit on the north coast of France near Cherbourg and the soldiers reached the shore by swimming or floating on rafts. The 10'' x 8'' black and white glossy photo has two staples, else near fine.
