Freeman and is countersigned by five Maine Republicans, including Lot Morrill, who served as Governor and Senator of Maine and U.S. Secretary of the Treasury; William P. Frye; Eugene Hale; John H. Burleigh and Harris M. Plaisted. It is said that Hamlin's election as Vice President in 1860 ushered in 50 years of national influence for Maine Republicans. 8'' x 10''; very good.
