The golf legend inscribes the front free endpaper in blue ink: ''To Eleanor / With best wishes / Golfingly / Walter Hagen / 1956''. Hagen is known for popularizing and legitimizing professional golf with his decades-long succession of major tournament wins and charismatic personal style. Book runs 342pp. Measures 6.25'' x 9.25''. Bound in red paper boards with blue cloth spine and gilt lettering. Very slightly cocked with minor shelf wear, else near fine. Unclippped dustjacket is in good condition, showing toning, chipping to top and bottom edges and staining to verso.
