The ''New York Herald Tribune'' dated 22 April 1945, the day before Soviet forces met American forces in Germany on Elbe Day. The move toward WWII's end looks promising as the front page headline reads, ''Russians Enter Berlin, Drive for Its Heart, Nazis Man Barricades in the Shell-Torn City; U.S. Soviet Link Reported Near Dresden''. A map of Berlin pinpoints the Russian occupation. 14pp. section includes an article titled, ''Science: Electron is Harnessed for New Purposes''. Toning, foxing to fold, chipping to edges and fold. Very good.
