Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Bill Veeck typed letter signed on St. Louis Browns stationery. Dated 14 December 1951, Veeck writes to a Vermont man: ''...I'm afraid I'm unable to grant your request. It is against our policy to release the players' addresses, so I suggest that you drop me a note sometime next year - during the course of the playing season - at which time we'll be happy to send you an autographed sheet of all players' names...[signed] Bill Veeck''. Most of Veeck's notorious publicity stunts took place during his tenure as majority owner of the Browns. Single page easures 8.5'' x 10''. Toning, creasing and thumbtack holes to upper corners, else near fine.
