White Sox Hall of Famer Ray Schalk bold, clear signature and handwritten responses to a typed questionnaire of a fan, who lists a variety of questions pertaining to his career. When asked who the best player he played with or against was, Schalk writes: ''Ty Cobb''. When asked his best year in the major leagues, he writes: ''all of them''. At bottom, Schalk signs the questionnaire, ''Tell Don Rader hello for me / Ray Schalk''. Questionnaire measures 7.25'' x 10.5'' on one page with two folds from mailing, else fine. Includes original 1965 postmarked envelope. Lot also includes a small autograph note signed in Schalk's hand. Schalk writes: ''To John / Great pleasure for me to hear from you. My personal thanks & Good Luck & Regards / Ray Schalk''. Measures 5'' x 3''. Near fine.
