Lot of 28 ''The Stars and Stripes'' newspapers from 2-30 December 1944. The daily papers follow General Patton's Third Army through the pivotal Battle of the Bulge. The first newspaper of the month begins with headline, ''3d Lunges to Saar River.'' Also included within the pages are news articles relevant to daily Army life in wartime Europe, GI Q&A, favorite comic strips, sports news from home and Bill Mauldin cartoons. Most 11.75'' x 16.75'' issues are 4 pages; a few include additional pages. Moderate toning, foxing and chipping, else very good.
