Charles Schulz hand-drawn ''Peanuts'' comic strip from 1952, just two years into ''Peanuts''' 50-year run. This 4-panel comic features early character Shermy who appeared in the very first strip and was last seen in 1969. Here, Shermy badgers Charlie Brown while they play golf, with Charlie not quite keeping up with his older pal. Measures 28'' x 6''. Strip originally ran on 26 June 1952 and that date previously appeared on panel 3, though it has been whited out. Now on panel 3 is handwritten ''Best Wishes to Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity of Michigan State College - Schulz''. Faint toning and a straight vertical crease through center, else near fine.
