Enola Gay tail gunner George Caron autograph letter signed, dated 17 September 1985. Letter, written in cursive, is addressed to ''Mr. Schwab and History class'' and reads in part, ''It was 40 years ago and from my tail gunners position aboard the Enola Gay, Hiroshima was an awesome sight. I believe the atomic bombs convinced Japan to stop fighting. I hope and pray that never again will anyone ever see a nuclear weapon set off in anger. Sincerely, George R. Caron''. Letter measures 8.5'' x 11'' and is in near fine condition.
