Dwight Eisenhower signs ''Ike'' in black marker to a letter datelined, ''En route Gettysburg'' 2 May 1962 on his personal gilt-monogrammed stationery. Addressed to his brother Edgar, letter reads, ''...Even though I think the ceremonies yesterday in Abilene [for the Eisenhower Center] were just as meaningful to you as to me...thank you for taking the time to make the trip...it was a...sentimental occasion...'' A copy of Edgar's warm response letter is included. Measures 7.25'' x 10.25''. Standard folds and punch holes, else near fine.
