Dwight Eisenhower signs, ''D.E.'' to a letter typed on his personal gilt-monogrammed White House stationery to his older brother Edgar. Dated 14 January 1960, letter reads, ''...It isn't every individual who can successfully inaugurate a new career at the age of seventy-one. I refer, of course, to the author, Edgar Eisenhower. At any rate, you give me hope for my own future. Needless to say, I send you my warmest felicitations on your birthday...'' Measures 7'' x 10.5''. Punch holes and a pencil mark near the letterhead, else near fine.
