Laura Ingalls Wilder autograph letter signed, dated 29 September 1952 from Mansfield, Missouri. Written on a card showing a girl in Victorian clothing, Ingalls responds to a request for her favorite quotation. Letter reads, ''My favorite quotation is from the nineteenth Psalm. / 'The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament showeth his handywork.' [sic] The whole Psalm is a favorite of mine and I can repeat it all. Can you? / I hope you win the trophy for the second time. / Sincerely / your friend / Laura Ingalls Wilder''. Unfolded, card measures approximately 9.5'' x 5''. Pinholes, some toning and tape remnants, overall in very good condition. With original postmarked envelope.
