Henry III letter signed ''Henry'' as King of France. Dated 1579, five years into his reign, letter is written in Old French in an unknown hand, addressed to ''Mon Cousin''. An address panel to verso reads: ''Mon Cousin, le Cardinal''. 1pp. letter measures approximately 9.25'' x 14''. Toning, creasing, light staining and separations mended with tape to verso. Very good, especially given age.
