King George III signs ''George R'' as King of England in large letters to a slip, mounted to paper alongside an engraving of the monarch. The word ''Royalty'' is handwritten above the engraving. King George III, the monarch who lost the American colonies, ruled from 1760 until 1810 when he was struck by dementia. Signed slip measures 3'' x 1.5''. Very good with foxing and toning. Engraving measures 2.5'' x 3.75'' and is affixed sideways to the mount below the autograph. In very good condition.
