Judith Godreche costume from "Man in the Iron Mask". Godreche stars opposite Leonardo DiCaprio as Christine Bellefort, mistress of DiCaprio's megalomaniac King Louis XIV. Elaborate costume made under the auspices of Academy Award-winning costume designer James Acheson comprises 4 pieces: (1) floor-length gown made of rich saffron jacquard by Jane Law. Gown features a deep scoop neckline on a boned bodice, with billowy shoulders and built-in long sleeves in delicate off-white muslin, with lace trim to cuffs and all around the neckline. Fully-lined bodice laces up the back. Measures 59" in length. Bodice, when completely closed and therefore at its smallest, measures 15" across the chest and 11" across the waist. Yellow ribbon detail is absent from one cuff, with very faint soiling and wear to fabric and lace, else near fine overall, (2) matching knee-high stockings in thick stretchy fabric with seam up the back, measuring 21" from toe to top, (3) a pair of off-white leather slip-on shoes with high front, 3" heel, leather sole and cream bow detail on the front, marked "38", measuring 10.25" from toe to heel. The actress's name is handwritten inside each shoe. Fraying to bow and some wear to soles, else near fine, (4) undergarments including a half slip and a padded sleeve shaper labeled with Godreche's name. Costume is housed in a large corrugated box with MGM barcode labels affixed to lid.
