1978-79 Seattle SuperSonics NBA 14kt. gold Championship ring won by player John Johnson. Along with the Seahawks Super Bowl win in 2014, this Sonics win over the Washington Bullets in the 1979 series has been the only men's professional sports championship won by Seattle. It remains the only basketball championship won by the city, secured in an upset over the Bullets in a rematch of the 1978 series. 75 point diamond on top of the ring is surrounded by ''N. B. A. WORLD CHAMPIONS''. ''JOHNSON'', ''SEATTLE SUPERSONICS'' and a green Seattle skyline, featuring the Seattle Space Needle, appear on one side, with the NBA logo and ''1979'' appearing on the other. Inside is engraved ''Balfour 14K''. Ring is size 12. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Johnson's son, obtained directly from him.
