John James Audubon's ''Long-Eared Owl'' #383 from the Amsterdam edition of Audubon's ''Birds of America'', published in 1972. The book made Audubon a premiere wildlife artist and the measure of all bird artists. All 435 full-size color plates were published in this edition and limited to only 250 numbered sets. Long-eared owl measures 26.5'' x 39.5'', with 12-color offset lithography. Image contains slight horizontal wrinkling and slight chips to the edges, otherwise near fine condition.
